Director - Supply Chain
The Position:

The Director of Supply Chain will oversee the Supply Chain Team within the Consumer Division in Boston, MA. This position will have primary responsibility for all aspects of supply chain management including purchasing, distribution, quality, customer service and co-packer management. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer of the Company.

Responsibilities:

– Supervise supply chain including sourcing raw materials, managing co- packers, vendors, warehousing and logistics to deliver product to market on deadline
– Manage the company supply chain from production planning and procurement through to fulfillment of customer orders
– Oversee formulation and manufacturing of product
– Communicate consistently and effectively with CFO and Finance department
– Manage external vendors including co- packers, raw material suppliers and other logistics vendors
– Ensure product meets all testing requirements and maintains all certifications
– Create systems and processes to successfully deliver against operational targets and KPIs
– Plan, develop and implement strategies for operational management to meet organizational performance plans and gross margin targets within agreed budgets and deadlines
– Establish and maintain appropriate processes and dashboards for measuring necessary aspects of business operations
– Develop continuous process improvement strategies to drive operational efficiencies
– Monitor logistics of orders and work with vendors for freight utilization to minimize case delivery costs
– Ensure order fulfillment, invoicing accuracy and cash collection
– Execute the interface between demand and supply planning
– Manage the month- end responsibilities related to inventory
– Assist with key financial planning and reporting (forecasting, tracking, reporting and financial and operational analysis)
– Prepare ad- hoc reports, present findings and make recommendations to management regarding Cost of Goods and Supply Chain Vendors and partners
– Manage bidding process and negotiate optimal pricing with all supply chain vendors
– Monitor operational expense areas vs budget and provide latest estimates when required
– Update, analyze and distribute monthly dashboards to key stakeholders, summarizing key financial measures and identifying trends
– Partner with leadership to strengthen and implement financial tools, metrics and processes to drive financial performance

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management [MBA preferred]
– Demonstrated success at a manager level or above with broad supply chain experience
– Direct experience in consumer packaged goods, preferably a beverage – background in lifestyle brand and e-commerce is a plus
– Progressive responsibility in material planning, production, product stability, procurement, inventory management and logistics
– Proficiency in managing multiple vendor resources (e.g. packing, distribution, production)
– Ability to evaluate and implement various distribution strategies
– Experience negotiating contracts and with key financial planning and reporting (e.g. forecasting)
– Ability to lead, manage and coach direct reports
– Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle many priorities simultaneously
– Extremely collaborative with strong interpersonal skills
– Confident, able to articulate a clear point of view, transparent and fearless with a strong ability to aggregate and disseminate information

Supply Chain Coordinator
The Position:

The Supply Chain Coordinator is part of the Supply Chain Team and will report into the Director of Supply Chain within the Consumer Division in Boston, MA. This Coordinator role is heavily involved in all aspects of supply chain at an early stage, from Supply Chain Partners identification and selection through the execution of multi-channel distribution. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team on a 3-to 6 month consulting basis and lead to a permanent position if desired by both parties.

Responsibilities:

– Actively manage the company’s warehouse inventories and outboard shipments
– Work closely with production and warehouse teams to monitor material usage and stock levels
– Expedite and/or issue change orders to meet project demands
– Ensure that all materials are purchased and delivered in a timely basis in accordance with agreed upon terms and conditions
– Process Sales Orders and generate shipment related reports
– Answer and resolve all overage, usage, commercial invoice accuracy, BOL accuracy, shipment status, tracking and supplier non-conformance issues
– Review, update and maintain purchase orders until they are closed
– Manage reconciliations, repacks and transfer requests
– Maintain accurate records, tracking and filing systems
– Gather and track all documentation required for Certification audits
– Review and monitor order fulfillment to ensure accuracy
– Coordinate transportation logistics including managing relationships with third parties (e.g. brokers)
– Manage and support various programs and projects as needed

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain Management or equivalent major preferred)
– 1-2 years of relevant supply chain experience required
– Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
– EPR experience (Great Plains preferred)
– Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

Order Fulfillment Coordinator
The Position:

The Order Fulfillment Coordinator is part of the Supply Chain Team and will report into the Director of Supply Chain within the Consumer Division in Boston, MA. This Coordinator role will lead the logistics activities to ensure the accurate and timely processing of orders to meet/exceed customer service level requirements. This role serves as the primary point of contact for Field Sales, Operations, Retail Partners and Distribution for order management and fulfillment. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team on a 3-6 month consulting basis and lead to a permanent position if desired by both parties.

Responsibilities:

– Manage the fulfillment of all product related orders for internal and external customers
– Monitor incoming customer purchase orders for order entry and release in Great Pains ERP system and Amazon Fulfillment
– Maintain daily communication with warehouses and transportation providers to ensure proper order fulfillment and prioritization
– Leverage problem-solving and decision making skills to ensure the highest level of customer service and continuous improvement to meet/exceed all organizational KPIs
– Manage all communications with customers related to order fulfillment, product availability, and problem resolution
– Collaborate with Retailer, Sales and Transportation groups to determine and recommend most cost efficient and timely methods for shipments to meet service or on counter commitments. Coordinate authorization with all parties

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain Management or equivalent major preferred)
– 1-2 years of relevant supply chain experience (preferred)
– Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Manager, Finance & Accounting
The Position:

The Manager, Finance & Accounting will be responsible for various aspects of accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis for the Company’s Drug Development, Consumer and corporate operations. Reporting to the Associate Director, Finance & Accounting, the Manager, Finance & Accounting will play a hands-on role in budgeting, forecasting and analysis as well as the monthly accounting close. This highly visible role will act a key liaison with stakeholders across the Company and will have a high level of interaction with the Company’s senior management team.

In addition to the qualifications detailed below, the successful candidate will be a strong team-player who can thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment and is eager to assist others, and go the extra mile as necessary, to help the Company achieve its goals and objectives. This position will be based in the Company’s headquarters located in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

– Help establish effective processes to monitor and report on budget, actuals and forecast across the company’s Drug Development, Consumer Operations, and corporate segments
– Manage the monthly forecasting process by partnering with department managers to align the forecast with the most current business assumptions
– Assist with preparing budget and forecasts for management and board materials
– Work side-by-side with department managers to establish the annual budget and long range plan
– Provide expense forecasts and generate budget vs. actual reports, explanations of variances, and forecasted expenses
– Prepare various profitability analyses and other ad hoc reports for the Company’s revenue generating consumer product, HOTSHOT
– Collaborate with department managers and other members of the Finance department to ensure proper expense recognition in the Company’s financial statements as part of the monthly accounting close
– Lead monthly operating reviews with department managers and management team, highlighting key cost drivers and risks/opportunities
– Assist with preparation of financial presentations and supporting materials related to senior management and executive financial reviews, summary of quarterly results, board documents, and other initiatives
– Perform analysis and provide direction to ensure well informed investment and operating decisions
– Support the month end/quarter-end close process, including creation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis for selected functions
– Collaborate with other Finance and Accounting team members on ad-hoc projects, as requested

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
– Public accounting experience preferred (combination of public accounting and private industry experience a plus)
– MSA and CPA certification preferred
– At least 6 years of combined accounting and finance experience
– Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey ideas on complex issues, to make formal and informal presentations to management, and communicate effectively with inside and outside parties
– Proficient in using ERP systems (Great Plains preferred)
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and meet required deadlines
– High attention to detail while also being able to view ‘big picture’
– Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle many priorities simultaneously
