Digital & Ecommerce Manager (Consultant)

Role:  HOTSHOT Digital & Ecommerce Manager – Consultant

Location:  Boston, MA (Back Bay)

Travel:  <10%

Position Overview:

The Digital & Ecommerce Manager will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a robust on-line strategy to drive growth through HOTSHOT’s largest sales channels: TeamHOTSHOT.com and Amazon.com. The scope of this role includes leadership of all online growth initiatives (organic & paid) as well as management & oversight of the HOTSHOT website content and infrastructure.   The Digital & Ecommerce Manager will be an integral part of the HOTSHOT sales & marketing organization and will interact regularly with partner agencies in the execution of the brand strategy.

This role is for a self-starter who is collaborative, creative, thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and wants to have a big impact at a fast-growing company.  

This position reports to the VP of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • -Design, implement and manage ecommerce strategy to drive traffic and conversion with emphasis on efficiency/optimization of spend.
  • -Partner with brand team and agencies to build out communication strategies across email, on-site content and social to increase reach, awareness and conversion.
  • -Develop and measure against eCommerce business forecast across direct-to-consumer (teamhotshot.com) and Amazon.com.

Analytics & Insights

  • -Lead analysis of all digital and ecommerce initiatives including on-going tracking and reporting of eCommerce metrics (via Google Analytics, Shopify & Amazon.)
  • -Conduct deep dive analysis to identify trends and develop recommendations based on findings.
  • -Identify opportunities for and execute A/B testing to optimize digital messaging, positioning and promotions.

Customer Acquisition & Optimization

  • -Manage paid and organic online customer acquisition campaigns and retention programs.
  • -Partner and lead agency team (who executes) to optimize paid media plan across SEM, display and paid social channels in keeping with KPIs.

Site Management

Partner with external technical resources to maintain TeamHOTSHOT.com site and ecommerce functionality.

  • -Roadmap & lead execution of site updates to optimize content in keeping with brand positioning, creative, and conversion optimizations (CRO.)

CRM

  • -Manage, execute and optimize email campaigns via MailChimp for TeamHOTSHOT.com, including:
    • -Automated drip campaigns for existing customers to drive retention & repeat buyer growth;
    • -Communications to prospects who’ve provided their email address to the brand but not yet converted.

Qualifications:

  • -Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • -4-6 years of consumer brand experience, including ecommerce and digital / mobile marketing, with a broad grasp of on-line strategies across various platforms and channels.
  • -Successful track record developing ecommerce business plans and marketing campaigns that deliver against sales targets for new and repeat customers.
  • -Strong strategic thinker with analytical chops and demonstrated experience using research/analytic platforms to generate insights in support of recommendations.
  • -Meticulous team leader with ability to seamlessly toggle between big picture orientation and attention to detail.
  • -Exceptional communicator and collaborator, with proven ability to forge productive relationships with key stakeholders and manage external vendors to deliver results
  • -Innovative problem solver with the ability to remove roadblocks through creative problem-solving
  • -Self-motivated, adaptable and fluid with change, able to lead action despite ambiguity.
  • -At ease presenting to, interacting with and being challenged by senior leadership.
  • -Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite (Analytics, Tag Manager, AdWords) and Shopify.
  • -SalesForce, MailChimp and WordPress experience a plus.
